FAQs

Why should I see a chiropractor?

Chiropractic helps to remove postural imbalances and structural misalignments that can accumulate in our bodies over time. Chiropractic works by restoring your own inborn ability to be healthy. For your body to remain healthy, your nervous system must function well. For your nervous system to function well it must be free of interference. By restoring spinal function with chiropractic adjustments, nerve interference by misaligned vertebrae is removed, thus allowing optimal nervous system function and improved health. Seeing a chiropractor is not only for back pain and neck pain. Chiropractic care is an excellent way to keep your body at its peak performance through nutrition, adjustment, and overall wellness. In addition, chiropractic care has been known to help a wide range of conditions from fibromyalgia to diabetes.

Do you take insurance?

No, we do not take insurance. With the quality of care, we provide there is no insurance that can cover our services. Also, in the state of California, it is illegal to prescribe or treat clients without a license. Unfortunately, this is what is happening in today’s climate. Insurance companies have been managing the treatment doctors have been providing to their clients; particularly when it comes to how often a client should be seen. At Acacia Chiropractic we believe in providing treatment recommendations to clients without a middle-man that fits the client’s schedule.

Will it hurt receiving a chiropractic adjustment?

Many are in pain upon entering a chiropractic office. A chiropractic adjustment performed with care specificity should not induce pain but decrease the pain that the individual is entering with.

Will I need X-Rays?

We believe every client is unique, therefore requiring treatment that is fine-tuned to them. Every client does not need X-Rays but every client and Doctor can learn more about their bodies with them.

Will I need to keep coming to get adjustments for the rest of my life?

Just like a car, our bodies need maintenance. You can choose to take your car in for regular oil changes, tire rotations, etc. if you’d like but you know if you don’t the performance of your car can diminish over time. Chiropractic is very similar. Getting regular and consistent treatment following an injury or trauma is pivotal to experiencing a swift and full recovery, but deciding to get regular maintenance treatment for your health is completely up to you!
